TYPE STYLES

Throughout the Catalog, we labeled lines, paragraphs and all the card samples with the name of the Type styles used. If you want to change the Type style of the Sample Layout of your choice just mark it on the order form, if you don't mark it we use the Type style shown in the sample.

The right type style is very important to the impression you want to make. Each type style has its own "feel" to it. For an Engineer or Construction Company use a bold "Strong" Typeface.

For a Floral Store you would use a Script Type

For an Old world, traditional feel use a Serif or Condensed style such as Times, Caslon or Century.  Round Face Type styles imply a friendlier look. Such as: Microgamma, Souvenier, Bauhaus etc.

For Body Copy, Block Letters are usually used, such as: Times, Swiss or Helvetica.  A special type style is used for the Mainline Type styles. See the following example:

The height of letters is measured in points as below:

Block Letters are usually the same height, Script letters have to be 4-6 points larger to
 match Block Letters.
